ASIT ITH Christmas Tree 8x12

This cute ITH Christmas Tree has 3 pieces that slide together to form a standing tree.

When assembled it is approximately 11.50" tall

We used stiffened felt for the tree.

The star on top is a free standing lace style and is attached to Section 1 of the tree.

It is a quick and fun project.

For an alternative version of this tree, fuse a pretty Christmas fabric to each piece of the felt with a fusible product like Madeira Applique Magic or Exquisite Fuse N Stick in the same way you would do with an applique design. Then just stitch the design together following the instructions. You can skip the last 3 steps that stitch on the ornaments if your fabric has a pretty print.

SVG file for precutting felt is included and an optional step if you have a cutting machine.

Supplies Needed:

• Mesh type water soluble Stabilizer. We use the Madeira brand but there are other brands on the market too.
• 6 pieces size 9" x 12" of Stiffened Felt:  https://amzn.to/3BHLUPs
• Glue stick or spray adhesive if using precut felt pieces
• Small scissor for trimming in the hoop. We used these 5" Kai Scissors: https://kaiscissors.com/product/kai-5130p-5-inch-blunt-tip-double-curve-embroidery-scissors/
• Tape. We used Transpore Medical Tape
• Embroidery Thread. We used a 40 weight polyester thread.
